Description
This violin is made from a personal del Gesù Prince Doria model using a one-piece back cut on the quarter from strongly flamed European maple. The curl is of irregular broad and ascends to the left treble. The scroll and ribs are of similar wood. The two-piece top is of narrow to medium grain of Italian spruce, and broadens toward the flanks. The violin is finished with a red-brown varnish on a golden ground and is lightly antiqued.
