This violin is made from a personal ‘del Gesù’ model using a one-piece back cut on the quarter from European maple. The curl is of medium width and descends slightly from the treble to the bass side. The scroll and ribs are of similar wood. The two-piece top is of narrow to medium grain European spruce and broadens toward the flanks. The violin is finished with a red-orange varnish on a golden ground and is lightly antiqued.
