This violin is made from a personal ‘del Gesù’ Avio model using a two-piece back cut on the quarter from strongly flamed maple. The curl is of broad width and ascends to the right bass. The scroll and ribs are of similar wood. The two-piece top is of European spruce and broadens slightly toward the flanks. The violin is finished with a red-orange varnish on a golden ground and is lightly antiqued.
