This violin is made from a personal ‘del Gesù’ model using a one-piece back cut on the quarter from Balkan maple. The curl is of medium to narrow width and runs straight across. The scroll is of similar wood and the ribs are of broader wood. The two-piece top is of narrow to medium grain European spruce and broadens toward the flanks. The violin is finished with a red-brown varnish on a golden ground and is lightly antiqued.
